Antiques on the Square is located in historic Independence, Missouri.

We offer a well-rounded array of early Americana with our furniture, primitives, toys, games, glassware, jewelry, light fixtures, lamps, rugs, quilts, paintings, paper goods, mirrors and all sorts of special items from years past!

With each buying trip our inventory changes and every item enhances the wonder of our store.

We are located on the corner of North Main Street and Lexington in downtown Independence in a 100 year old building where  Harry Truman, along with some of his WWI Army buddies, met to play poker. They were called the Harpie Club.

Independence, Missouri is the jumping off point for the early settlers to go west. You can still see ruts in the ground when you visit Waggoner Estate where the wagons pulled out for the Santa Fe, Oregon and California trails. Visit the spring fed well where families filled their barrels for the long trip and the many historic buildings still standing. You may tour the Vail Mansion and the 1859 jail. If you come over Labor Day you will be enveloped in Santa Cali Gon, a celebration honoring the three trails west and don't forget the horse drawn tour. You won't want to miss visiting the Harry Truman home, library and court room where Harry was a judge. You can have a bite to eat at Clinton's SodaShop where Truman worked as a young lad or stroll down the street for fine foods, pizza or BBQ. The Independence Square has been renovated and revived and it is a place in history that you won't want to miss.
